It lacks any of the niceties that other filters add to facilitate installation, e.g. gripping material on a Fram or the nut on a K&N. But, it's just as easy to install as any other old oil filter. I've only had it installed for about a month, so I can't vouch for its real performance (except no problems so far), but I'm expecting good things.
