(More customer reviews)Someone on Ravelry recommended using denatured alcohol plus "gun oil" to clean the parts of my knitting machine. I guessed at which gun oil to buy and got this one and it seems to have been all right. (The idea being that you mix a few drops of oil with the denatured alcohol; when the alcohol evaporates, a light coating of oil remains on the metal.) The machine is working fine after this treatment, so I guess it's all right.
