(More customer reviews)This product is slightly misunderstood most consumers (including me at one time!) Simply put, you don't have to buy expensive ATF's from the dealer any more. This company (LUBEGARD) sells what's known as automatic transmission conversion products. The LUBEGARD product allows you to buy regular, inexpensive DEXRON/MERCON fluid, and add a bottle of LUBEGARD to transform the inexpensive DEXRON MERCON to the performance requirements of any ATF (there are several different LUBEGARD products, depending on your car). For instance, instead of buying MERCON V ATF for mucho $$$, you buy regular DEXRON at $1.50 quart and addejust one bottle of LUBEGARD and IT WORKS GREAT! It is very highly recommended by transmission shops in my area.

I did a fluid exchange with Mobil 3309 (t-IV type), a new filter, and a bottle of Lubegard Platinum. This vehicle now shifts as smooth as glass; absolutely amazing! Most additive stuff does nothing that can be felt; this product is different... I also have the added thermal protection that I will need to pull the camper next summer!

I especially liked the transmission product, really makes the car/suv shift nice. The stuff works great in the lawn mower too, runs noticeably smoother.

Dura Lube HL-DLT08-06 8oz Advanced Transmission Treatment Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 96 Eagle Vision that had developed a stumbling problem when shifting from 3rd to 4th. Oddly, when the transmission was cold it shifted perfectly. But, when it warmed up, it would do a jitterbug going into 4th. My transmission specialist had little to offer other than spending $2,000 plus on a transmission overhaul. So, before doing that I decided to give Dura Lube's Advanced Transmission Treatment a try. It's been in the car for more than a month now, and I have been pleasantly surprised. Over time its positive effect has only gotten better. While it has not been a total cure for the problem, it has improved the situation about 95 percent. Enough to allow me to avoid a major transmission overhaul! Maybe not forever, but certainly for now. I hightly recommend it, and intent to install it in any new/used cars I purchase in the future.

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit to replace the stock power steering cooler in my Supra which I needed to relocate anyway. This unit is very compact and the perfect size for the location I had in mind. The only concern which came to mind is that the two metal mounting brackets have the pipe running through them. While it is a tight fit they do move a fraction of a millimeter... nothing that would rub through the pipe anytime in the next decade though. ;)

I first thought the engine was missing, but after many dollars, six new exhaust valves, and numerous electrical parts replacement, the real culprit was the automatic transmission. The transmission technician I went to replaced the transmission fluid (flushing is not reccommended) and added one bottle of the Smart Blend (RED). When I drove off, I had not a hint of my former problem. Shifts were so smooth, I hardly noticed them. This product is absolutely amazing.

Red Line D4 ATF - Quart (Case 12 Bottles) Review

I just recently purchased some of this D4 ATF to replace the Toyota T-IV in my 2006 camry SE. Did a complete flush. WOW!! I didnt know this car could shift any better. I am very confident in this fluid and have see it perform time and again here in the hot phoenix summers.
Heat is the #1 enemy in any auto transmission and this fluid addresses this issue by allowing them to run much cooler. My trans is running about 20 degrees cooler than before the flush. Very happy with this product and highly recommend it for anyone looking to reduce wear, extend drain intervals and reduce heat and at the same time possibly improve shift characteristics.

(More customer reviews)A local grocery store has a loyalty program that gives a discount on gasoline. When I've built up enough points to get gas for free, I buy the maximum allowed. I fill my tank, and then put the rest into 5-gallon containers. The problem comes later when I try to get the gas out of the containers and into my car. This funnel is the perfect size to avoid spills, but the stem is not nearly long enough to reach into the tank. So I bought this guy, cut off the long stem and stuck it on this one. It was a perfect fit. I now have a funnel with a really huge mouth and a really long stem.

Red Line D4 ATF - Quart Review

(More customer reviews)I use Red Line D4 in a Type-9 manual transmission in a Lotus Seven replica. The transmission builder strongly recommends using a heavy duty synthetic ATF in this tranny. I previously used Mobile-1 ATF, but switched to Red Line a couple of years ago. Can't say I noticed any improvement or difference from the Mobile-1 but both seem to shift smoothly with no syncro crashing. More of the Red Line seems to get past the transmission seals, but that may simply be due to aging and wear. Otherwise the Red-Line D4 seems to work well once the transmission is up to normal operating temperatures.

It was perfect! it was easy to install and i didnt need to buy anything else to install it.What i like about it is the ease of mounting. it has two mounting hole where you can easily use self tapping screws to secure it. I have had trouble with the other style of coolers that use the round plastic zip ties. the padding used between the radiator wares out and can cause an early failure.

Hopkins TF-1 Heavy Duty Transmission Funnel, 18" Hose, Red Review

This may not be a 'show stopper' for most buyers, but, if you know you NEED the hose to be 18", you should be warned that it is not as listed. Perhaps they changed the materials, or maybe the TOTAL length with the funnel attached is close to 18", or they have 'mixed/incorrect' inventory in stock.
I have decided not to return it because , even if it doesn't work for me as is, I can simply purchase some hose for it. Besides, I feel a little silly buying a funnel from Amazon as it is, I'd feel worse returning it!

EDIT: Just used it this weekend to re-fill the transmission/diff. in my Subaru 06 WRX Sportwagon. Plenty long enough and a 'plus' was the plastic fitting on the end. It is a good fit for the fill hole as it allows air to escape but sits nicely on top without 'falling in'. I still would advise medium/slow pouring - but I managed to not spill a single drop. Just make certain you hold the funnel or it is very secure while pouring. Bumping it to 4 stars. But the description really should be corrected.

(More customer reviews)Have an abused '03 impala (130k+ miles) that started hard shifting/slipping. Turned out to be a sticking/worn valve. Removed 48 ounces of fluid and replaced with two bottles of this Lucas treatment and the problem has yet to return and it has been a 2 months and 4,000 miles. I also just changed the trans fluid and filter (adding a bottle of this treatment to the replacement oil) and all is still well.

Red Line 58404 Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil Review

(More customer reviews)I recently replaced the differential in my BMW 328 with a lower ratio and went from an 'open' to 'limited-slip' configuration at the same time. I've exclusively ran Red Line drivetrain lubricants since purchasing my vehicle in 2002 with excellent results. I expect no problems with Shockproof. Thus far, the differential has been very smooth and quiet, with excellent driveshaft to axle power transfer both around corners and in straight line acceleration. I typically change gearbox and differential fluid every 24 months (even though now, on new car purchases, since BMW foots the bill for maintenance, BMW suddenly says those fluids never need replacing, even though in previous years on the same model car BMW included and charged for changing of differential and gearbox fluids in periodic maintenance schedules) and will continue to use Redline products for my maintenance.
