I've been using TufOil for about 17 years. First on a Nissan Sentra that gave me about 205,000 miles before I gave it to my mother. She rode it for a bit longer. The car was put to rest eventually due to body rust -- NOT engine problems.
I am currently driving a 97 Nissan Maxima with 248,000 miles! Again, no engine problems whatsoever! The car is starting to suffer from loose suspension, etc., but the engine is in EXCELLENT condition. It doesn't burn any oil, no knocking, etc. The engine runs extremely quietly. I expect the engine to last at least until 300,000 miles -- I hope the body can keep up!
I believe this product has the same basic principle as Slick50. Unlike Slick50 where you add a quart every 50,000 miles, you add 4 ounces of TufOil with each oil change.
The most important thing for long engine life is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER miss an oil change! Always do them on schedule. TufOil just makes your oil behave like super-oil.
My trick, while a bit expensive, is that I change the oil every 4,000 miles (easy to remember: 4K, 8K, 12K... 244K, 248K), plus I only use synthetic 5W30 oil, plus I always add 4 ounces of TufOil. Maybe it's a bit excessive, but my 248,000 mile Maxima still has all the pep it used to and purs like a kitten.

I especially liked the transmission product, really makes the car/suv shift nice. The stuff works great in the lawn mower too, runs noticeably smoother.

Tufoil Engine Treatment For Trucks 50 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using Tufoil since 1998. Tufoil holds the Guinness World Record for the slickest substance on the planet. The main ingredient in Tufoil is PTFE, the prime element in DuPont's Teflon. Tufoil company discovered a way to break apart PTFE particles into extremely small particles, down around 0.5-1.0 microns. Other PTFE-based products can be hazardous to engines because the particles are very large and have a tendency to build up and block tiny oil passages. Tufoil's PTFE particles are so small that an electron microscope has to be used to see them, and blockage doesn't happen.
Tufoil conducted stress tests on around 50 engine additive products with a 4-ball wear test machine. A spinning shaft is pressed against by four static ball bearings. The shaft is coated with the test oil for a certain amount of time, then the shaft's scar is measured. Another test is to see how long the shaft will spin until the additive smokes away. All 50 products tested burned off in under 5 minutes. Tufoil lasted 16 days.
So, Tufoil outlasts all other products by an enormous amount of time, it holds the world record for slickest substance, and it will save gas and reduce wear in your engine. Start ups are much easier, and acceleration is quicker because of the faster spin-up of the engine RPMs.
I've used Tufoil in my manual gearboxes and differentials. This application is amazing when coupled with synthetic gear oil. It's like taking 500 lbs out of your trunk. Shifter motion becomes super smooth and easy. Everything becomes quiet and silky smooth. Of all the Tufoil applications, gearbox installation is my most favorite because of the drastic and immediate improvement in driveability and gas mileage.
Many oil additive companies have been sued for false advertising. Tufoil has never been sued over their product claims. Their product works as advertised, and makes people very happy about their purchase.
Tufoil is affordable, especially in comparison to other additives.
Tufoil recommends using 8 ounces for an engine treatment, but I prefer 4 ounces. I also use synthetic motor oil. The combination is excellent for start up, smooth idle, quick acceleration, reduced engine wear, and greatly improved gas mileage.
Try it for yourself. I know you won't be disappointed.

(More customer reviews)I bought these to use in the mechanical shop at my ranch. Lots of grease, oil, etc when servicing tractors, etc. These work real well to keep the hands clean and they are as durable as one would expect - much more durable than the standard latex glove.
I have not had any issues with tearing or leakage through the gloves. Gripping small screws, etc is not a probelm and what you would expect, not as perfect as your bare hands, but better than thick gloves. Fit is good for the average size hand.

And again at the year's end when I put the bike away for the Winter. It prevents the fuel from gumming up the FI and fuel lines while the bike is not in use. A great product.

(More customer reviews)This stuff is simply the best and we have used it for many decades, but WHAT happened to the BIG bottle of this stuff they used to sell? It used to come in a 32-ounce red pump bottle, which was a much better deal and better for those of us who use a lot of this. While, for now, we still use this stuff, we have tried other brands and will choose to use one of the brands available in a bigger bottle in the future. These small bottles empty too fast and because of the small size, waste too much, as you can never get the last bit out. So, the more bottles you need to use, the more is left behind wasted. And, from an environmental standpoint, bulk packaging wastes less plastic/creates less pollution. I HOPE LAVA IS READING THIS!!! Otherwise, this is an excellent product.

MOTOR TREATMENT MULTI-USE -- 16 OZ. Review

(More customer reviews)I have a '92 Ford F-150 4.9L I6 with 135K on it. The idle was a little rough and the power was a little lack-luster, but that's really what I expected from a 13-year old truck. After a while, I started getting a knock that really impacted performance. The only way I could keep the knock at bay was to run 92 octane gas, which was really getting expensive. I went into the local auto parts store to look for some type of cleaner, when the employee said that Sea Foam would solve all my problems and told me that I could get my money back if it didn't. Very skeptical of his claims, I bought it anyhow to give it a try. With the engine hot I put the first 1/3 of the can into the large brake booster vacuum line slowly at first, then sucked as much in as quickly as possible until the engine stalled. I replaced the vacuum line and waited for about 15 minutes and started it up. It started a little hard at first being flooded with the Sea Foam, but while revving the gas, it soon ran very smooth and started to smoke like that old movie "Uncle Buck". I made an unbelievable smoke screen that literally shut down Beach Blvd on the MS Gulf Coast for about five minutes! The motor in the old Ford suddenly began to idle perfectly and throttle response was amazing. I then added 1/3 of the can to the oil fill hole in the valve cover and the rest in the gas tank (as instructed on the can). Within about 10 minutes all the lifters were silent and the motor ran as perfect and as powerful as it did the day that it rolled off the assembly line! I now run it on 87 octane gas with no knock whatsoever, so the savings at the pump has paid for the can of Sea Foam many times over. After cleaning all the carbon out of the motor with Sea Foam, the only thing that smokes now are the tires!

(More customer reviews)I had bought a used 2002 PT Cruiser with about 35,000 miles on it as a daily driver and to haul stuff around in the back. Good car, but the engine was kind of coarse & a little noisy, which was a common complaint with them. Gas mileage was so-so, another common complaint. Throughout the next year, I got used to the car being that way.
After seeing a demonstration of MotorKote (using the Timken test for friction) at Summit Racing in Tallmadge, OH, I decided to give it a shot. Within the first 20 miles of that oil change, the engine started to smoothen out. By 100 miles, I was hearing a different noise from the usual engine growl at freeway speeds... It was the TIRE tread noise! I'd never heard the tires on the pavement before, because the engine noise covered it up! The engine became (and stayed) amazingly quiet and smooth. Gas mileage improved about 2 mpg, and stayed that way.
Let the naysayers say what they like. It worked for me. By the way, you don't add MotorKote at every oil change... only every 4th one. Instead of listening to everyone else's "blah, blah, blah" about this, I'd suggest you check out MotorKote's website, and ALSO look up the Timken (as in Timken Bearings) friction test for lubricants. It's legit... I checked.

Answer: I have no idea.
Without a doubt, this is a super hi-performance oil additive! The only difference between this 8 cylinder product and the 6 and 4 cylinder products is the amount of fluid product you get. This 8 cylinder product is 19 oz., the 6 cyl. product is 15 oz. and the 4 cyl. product is 11 oz.. From what they tell me [on their website-[RESTOREUSA.COM] and from my experience, the fluid volume is the only difference between the products by cylinders. WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS:
Regardless of the size of the can, this product claims to be the only product that contains "RESTORE'S" proprietary CSL formula. They claim that "CSL" possesses unique properties that will "fill in" and "seal micro-leaks" in the "cylinder wall" of your engine and mine. They claim the effect of sealing these "micro-leaks" is the elimination of "blow-by", higher engine compression and more apparent horsepower that we can feel.
WHAT I HAVE NOTICED AFTER 3 YEARS OF INTENSIVE USE:
After years of using oil additives which increase viscosity and the risk of blowing oil seals in the engine [I've done that.], I tried this product. It does not increase viscosity, but it does increase the gas mileage [10-12%] and the performance of my 1998 V6 Plymouth Voyager which now has almost 140,000 miles on it. Also, it quieted the noisy lifters and made the engine much easier to turn over on very cold mornings.
During the summers, I do use a viscosity-increasing additive ["NO SMOKE"] which I find to be better at reducing the engine's tendency to burn a little oil [quart every 2,000 miles], especially at high speeds for sustained periods. Having used this product for several years I do feel more comfortable using "Restore" in colder weather as I have noticed a greater tendency to use oil during the summer with it and the faint smell of exhaust fumes if our back van windows are open when we first start the engine. On the plus side, I have also noticed that the benefit of using this treatment lasts at least several months after running the car without it, and I gauge this by the decline in gas mileage that typically does not occur for at least 4,000 miles of driving without it.
Having said that, "Restore" increases gas mileage and is better in cold weather in every way. Now that Old Man Winter is nearly here again, I'll be repurchasing the little silver can very soon. Brrr!

Pennzoil 30HD 30 Hd C=3538 Btl=3539 Review

Was cheaper then what the local store had. I do not recommend this thick of an oil (30HD) in motorcycles, car or truck engines unless the manufacturer says its ok. When this case runs out I would consider purchasing another from the same vendor.

When the package arrived, it ONLY HAD ONE FILTER! After again questioning the staff and recapping the info provided, they got back with me 1 week later and stated "we have researched this product and it only comes with one filter". Very disappointed as I could have bought the Mobil 1 filter for a few dollars less. DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT ONE FILTER!

Fram XG4967 Extended Guard Passenger Car Spin-On Oil Filter (Pack of 2) Review

(More customer reviews)The auto parts stores in town NEVER carry these because they want you to buy more filters. So I always order enough of these from Amazon to get free shipping and I'm all set for both cars for months. They are cheaper here anyway.
I run Mobile 1 synthetic oil and use these to capitalize on the longer intervals between required oil changes. With these extended guard filters and 100% synthetic oils like M1 or the cheapest Amsoil 100% synthetics, I go 7000 miles (I could probably go more, but I'm conservative since oil is the lifeblood of an engine and aside from oil I don't do wonderful maintenance like I should).
The color of the oil IS dark, I agree, but the real measure would be to use a test kit on the oil to see if it is still protecting the engine. Color doesn't neccessarily mean everything. I would like to see 99% efficiency in an extended interval filter, but unfortunately to get that sort of protection you have to install a bypass and use two filters at once (one cheap and one 99% filter like K&N or purolator).
In short, Amazon has made it easy & inexpensive to avoid shopping around for hi- mileage filters of good quality. I'll keep buying these as long as Amazon keeps carrying them. The purolators are a good deal here also.
