(More customer reviews)I had the kit for about a year and cleaned the filter about 2-4 times a year depending on when I change my oil. The pump will eventually go bad, it would be best to have a seperate spray bottle and transfer the fluid into that one.

(More customer reviews)This stuff is simply the best and we have used it for many decades, but WHAT happened to the BIG bottle of this stuff they used to sell? It used to come in a 32-ounce red pump bottle, which was a much better deal and better for those of us who use a lot of this. While, for now, we still use this stuff, we have tried other brands and will choose to use one of the brands available in a bigger bottle in the future. These small bottles empty too fast and because of the small size, waste too much, as you can never get the last bit out. So, the more bottles you need to use, the more is left behind wasted. And, from an environmental standpoint, bulk packaging wastes less plastic/creates less pollution. I HOPE LAVA IS READING THIS!!! Otherwise, this is an excellent product.

(More customer reviews)I purchased three of these and filled them with undiluted vinegar for use in the bathrooms and the kitchen. I go through a great deal of vinegar by soaking towels with them to wipe down surfaces. $9 is a lot of money for a spray bottle but it is suitable for stronger liquids so I won't worry about vinegar burning through the plastic.

(More customer reviews)This is good for heavy duty corrosion. I'd use it on parts that look like they might be stuck, give it a few minutes, and then turn the wrenches. It saves stripping the heads and scraping knuckles.
I'll also use it when something is definitely stuck, it works really well on engine parts where heat and corrosion have almost fused parts.

K&N 99-5050 Filter Care Service Kit - Squeeze Review

(More customer reviews)I love the squeeze bottle ... the aerosol bottle just sprays everywhere and is harder to control quantity and where it hits. It also seems harder to judge when you have applied to much, or too little.
With the squeeze bottle, you simply apply an even amount along the ridges on both sides of the filter and allow time for the oil to soak down into the fibers of the filter.
This way, you can start with a smaller amount and if it isn't enough to "soak to the middle" you know you need more, and can judge how much more based on how much you applied the first time and how much white space is left. After time, you start to get a good feel for the amount of oil needed to re-oil the filter.
K&N filters are also specifically distributed with a spec sheet showing the amount of oil needed, and this information can also be viewed on the K&N website. For instance, my car's filter requires 1.24oz of oil to re-oil the filter.
With the squeeze bottle it is very easy to determine how much oil has been applied - it's just liquid in a bottle and there is a gauge so you can see how much oil is in the bottle when you start, how much is left as you work, and therefor how close you have come to the K&N recommended amount of oil for a proper re-oiling job. With the spray can, knowing how much oil you have dispersed is difficult if not impossible.

(More customer reviews)I have been using Gun Scrubber(not the synthetic safe) on my guns to clean my gun when I don't feel like taking my gun apart to clean it. It is great except that it makes my Hogue grip covers soft and gummy. So I decided to try this one to see if it can accomplish the same effect without damaging the hogue grips.
It is not like gun scrubber. It does not blast the dirt away, and it also does not strip the gun of all oil. It is very similar to Break Free CLP. I squirt it on the barrel and run the Bore snake through it and it does remove the dirt. I sprayed it on the exterior of the gun, and the action and wiped it down. It is not as oily as Break Free so it is easier to wipe it off. But you still need to disassemble your gun as you normally would.
If you are looking for a Gun cleaner that is easier to apply than Break Free CLP, this is it.

(More customer reviews)OK, let try this, I gave it 4 stars mainly because it did exactly what I bought it to do but I can't say it is any better or worse than its competitors. I can say I bought it because it had a name I recognized and I expected a certain amount of quality with the Smith & Wesson name and I was not disappointed. It lubricates and cleans exactly as promised and I guess the can looking like a bullet adds to its appeal. If there is any downside it would have to be the fact that as with many other spray lubricants they give you a nozzle that is taped to the side and once you use it you are faced with throwing away the cap or trying to remember where you put the nozzle, I solved this minor problem by just wrapping a rubber band around the can and using it to hold the plastic nozzle, no big deal but just a complaint I have for all such products including WD-40. Bottom line: Great product, does what it says, not a bad price, brand name quality, cool looking can. Might have given it 5 stars if it was on Amazon Prime or if it had a way to keep the nozzle attached when the cap was on since without the cap, loses the "cool looking can" appeal
NOTE: After reading a couple of other reviews I add (in the "Do I really need to say this" category), this IS a spray can and you should spray it on the patch/cloth and then apply it to your weapon unless you have a large surface area to cover or possibly need penetration into crevices. If you apply it to the cloth first it solves the "messy" complaint and works perfectly. Obviously, there will be a few instances where direct spray will be preferable and if you are spraying it directly onto the weapon, use a light touch and try it on a cloth first so you get a "feel" for the amount of lubricant you will be spraying.
UPDATE Dec 2010: It seems that at least for now this item IS on the PRIME program so you get free shipping if you subscribe to PRIME as I do. Only serves to make this a better deal than when I bought it, works great.
