If there is zero star, I would give zero for this vendor/ product/Amazon customer service. I bought this combo from Northern Tool & Equipment, an Amazon market seller, in January. When it arrived, I noticed the base rails on both stands are bended, they might get damaged during shipping as there is no additional cushion added other than the original manufacture packing. The original packing only has a few cardboards inside trying to secure the devices in position, however, it barely works to support the heavy stuff. In terms of the jack, after jacking up my Audi A4 a few times, the jack ceased working last week, looks like it develops a leak and can't jack up a compact car anymore. Since Amazon claims that the A-Z policy can guarantee your money back if something goes wrong, I complained the problem to Amazon, however, when you really come to the point, you start realizing the A-Z policy is just a piece of crap. Amazon simply push you out and ask you to contact the seller to resolve the issue. The seller only offers replacement, for a "quality" stuff like this, I doubt anyone would like to risk his life giving them a second chance. I talked to Amazon that I need to return it, but Amazon keeps saying if the replacement doesn't work out, we will file a claim on behalf of you. What happens if the jack stand can't hold up at the second time? Be aware of the Amazon market seller, be ware of the Amazon customer of service. Very bad online buying experience.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this generator in August of 2008. I live in an area (upstate NY) where we lose power frequently. The item arrived and was delivered to my back yard in perfect working order.
We recently had a very bad ice storm in the Northeast and we lost power for 3 days. The generator worked perfectly running my sump pump, hot water heater (gas, direct vent), furnace, fridge (2) and several lights. I had to run power cords from outside rather than use the NEMA power cord to a manual transfer switch I had installed before the generator was delivered (more on that later). I ran the house for 10-12 hours on the 2 20lb propane tanks before I needed to change them out, which was to me, excellent. The generator is very quiet, we could barely hear it in the house. I have it installed behind my garage facing downwind of the house.
Okay, the transfer switch issue. While the manual, Briggs & Stratton web site, Briggs & Stratton FAQ page does not specifically state this, you MUST purchase the B&S manual transfer switch PERIOD! The model number is Briggs & Stratton 71014 - PowerNow Generator Transfer Kit (10 Circuits). This is the only transfer switch that works with the GFCI breaker installed in the generator. I had 3 electricians (friends of mine) look at the gen-tran 30 amp transfer switch wiring that was installed in my house and it is NOT a switching neutral switch.
Confused? I was too until I got on the phone with a very nice B&S technician who told me to only use their switch. I was dissapointed as I then needed to shell out another $400.00 but now it's working fine. I did let B&S know that they should be specific about the fact that only their switch is compatible with these types of generators. It is because of this fact that I only rated it 4 stars.
All in all that one storm alone made this purchase worth every penny. It also kept the house in harmony (if you know what I mean).
I would heartly recommend this generator to anyone who is looking for a well built powerful and quiet standby generator. Just make sure you buy the 71014 - PowerNow Generator Transfer Kit from B&S

As soon as I added oil, it started again (a little to soon, I got splattered) I change to oil and filters myself. I save about $200 of the $250 charge from Generac.

(More customer reviews)I recieved the generator in a timely and everything was in good shape. The manual was fun to read with the descriptions appearing to be computer translated from Chinese. The generator feels a little tight when starting but a few pumps to the primer bulb seemed to do the trick and it started right up. I used it the first weekend I got it to power my rv, especially the AC unit. It would start the AC if everything else is turned off at the breaker panel and my AC unit was vented for "waterfall". (My deep cycle battery was very low and the converter had to be turned off.) I ran it HARD for two days in a Tennessee field, temps 96 degrees F and 60% humidity, after starting the AC I turned the breakers back on to everything but the microwave (I didn't want to risk it or produce any heat inside the RV). I ran it 6-8 hours a day for two days with no problems. Make sure you don't push the choke handle back too far, it will get stuck behind the rear cover.
It used about 50cc of oil during tha first weekend. this was enough to make it more sensitive to it's being out of level causing the low oil condition to shut it off. ALWAYS BRING THE SPECIAL OIL DISPENER WITH YOU!
The unit ran well during the weekend and if the AC was to finally shutdown, always after dark, we could watch tv and dvd player with plenty of 12 volts items (3 lights, 2 fans, stereo playing to the outside) and the generator would idle down very low and make very little sound.

(More customer reviews)When I opened the box and saw this little generator, I thought I was in trouble. But this 2800 watt Yamaha is the new inverter model. Not sure what that means, but it is very light weight but really puts out the juice. We ran 2 screwguns, 2 - 500 watt quartz lights and our radio and this Yamaha barely ran above idle. It weighs half of what our old junker weighs, runs 4 to 5 times longer on a gallon of gas and purrs quiet as a kitten. We have been using this wonderful generator for over a year with no problems at all. It's Yamaha inverter generators for our crews from now on.

Not to say there aren't good oils or fluids out there, but my personal experience is that my high horsepower, high torque BMWs that run in 100F degree + weather in Arizona five months a year all have had excellent protection from my Redline Oil, tranny, diff fluid and Water Wetter products.

(More customer reviews)I just recieved my new generator today. Amazon delivery was amazing. The truck line called. backed up to my door at my convienience, and me and the driver had it off the truck in less than 5 minutes. Keep in mind this is a 2 person job. Adding to the plus for the delivery is that it was absolutly free.
It took me a total of 10 minutes to install the wheels,support bracket, attach the battery cable(yes it does come with the battery installed),fill with the supplied oil and put in some gas. One little choke and the unit fired off a lot sooner than I anticipated. I ran some electrical power tools to make sure the unit was putting out power and they all worked flawlessly. I searched far and wide untill I settled on this unit. The Vangaurd engine ( built by mitsubishi according to The Briggs rep I talked to) was the major selling point. It is quieter than many larger generators and can ramp up to a 13500 watt surge. Im not hoping for a power outage , but I sure would like to put this baby to the test. I might just throw my transfer switch tomorrow and see what it can do. Very happy at this point

This company (LUBEGARD) sells what's known as automatic transmission conversion products. The LUBEGARD product allows you to buy regular, inexpensive DEXRON/MERCON fluid, and add a bottle of LUBEGARD to transform the inexpensive DEXRON MERCON to the performance requirements of any ATF (there are several different LUBEGARD products, depending on your car). (More customer reviews)I bought this from a well known online tool shop during a good sale. I have a lowered car and using my standard Sears jack requires removing part of the front valence followed by a musical chairs dance of alternating jack and jackstands to get all four wheels off the ground.
This "race jack" did away with most of that, as it has a hefty handle, pumps up quickly, and could be slipped under the car from almost any direction. It made getting under the car much easier.
I enjoyed use of this jack for about 1 year, until one day while lying on the floor of my garage, the jack started to slowly give out before I had my jackstands in place. I slid away from the car and started pumping again, but there was hydraulic fluid leaking from somewhere on the jack and in no time I had a puddle.
So now I'm back to my cumbersome but reliable Sears jack, which has given me many years of service for the tiny investment I made, but I miss the low profile, easy to use features of my broken Torin. I tried to contact the manufacturer, but nobody answered the phone (I called during business hours) and I have not been able to identify a source for rebuild kits. At this point I don't want to put any money into it, so I imagine I'll spend money on a good, quality jack and send this one to the recyclers.

(More customer reviews)This is a basic no frill generator. Just what I needed to run my sump pump and fridge/freezer. Assembly took about 20 min. Put on the wheels, handle and front foot. Added gas and oil, and it started in one pull. This unit puts out 29 amps at 120 volts. More than enough to power what I need in an emergency. It is a little loud, but at $460 who can complain? I switched to synthetic oil after break in to help starting in cold weather as recomended in the manual.This is a very nice, well made, simple to use generator.

U281 CAN VW/AUDI Memo Scanner Review

(More customer reviews)The U281 is a very simple CAN OBD2 code reader/eraser for Audi and VW cars. That is all it does - read the codes and clear them.
The Good:
1: It works - it can read the code (although not all apparently) and
2: It can erase them, turning the "Check Engine" light off.
The Bad:
1: It hangs. A lot.
2: It doesn't seem very good at getting the codes; the first time it claimed there weren't any, and the second time (30 seconds later) it only saw one.
3: You need to use the manual reference to look up codes, but...
4: The manual is incomplete. I used it on my 2003 Audi A4, which I bought in October 2002. I received this unit yesterday, Sept 2009. And yet it didn't have the code in the manual that I received. Seven years out-of-date? I did find the code online.
5: It can't set any of the other Audi parameters (radio, seat, climate, etc.) like more expensive units can.
Don't let the size of the "Bad" scare you away. You buy this to check that the Check Engine light is telling you something you don't care about and to turn it off for far less than the dealership would. It does do that adequately, and far more economically than any other choice.
Summary:
This is the cheapest way to quickly check the validity of the Check Engine light and turn it off. It's definitely worth the cost, especially since a more complete unit costs more than three times as much.

(More customer reviews)I own one of these bought from Home Depot. Price was EXCELLENT. May not be a Honda, etc.. But for 400 it is an excellent back up generator. It is made in the US. Starts EVERY time, runs nearly the whole house including the furnace.(No AC) (Will run Window AC). I keep the gas treated, run int once a month or so (As you should ANY gas engine, unless winterized) It is a purchase worth the money.

(More customer reviews)This is a must-have to improve the look of your ML's front grille. We have a 2006 ML and it did not come with the chrome grille like the newer models. This greatly improved the look of the front of the car. The only drawback is that the chrome strips do not come pre-sized, so we had to do some trimming. My suggestion is to leave your car in the sun for a while so the grille is warm and then the strips adhere quickly. We have a black ML and the pictures provided by the seller are very accurate for how it looks afterward. Overall, a great (an inexpensive) product that will add value to your ML.
