(More customer reviews)The owner's manual on my Audi has very specific oil requirements for its 2.0L turbo engine. The prior engine - 1.8L turbo - had a much publicized sludge issue due to the non-synthetic oil they used for factory fill. Now, with the 2.0L engine, they have very specific lubrication recommendations - labeled VW 502.00. These oils are all synthetic. They are mostly 5W-40 too, although Mobil 1 makes a 0W-40 that meets the spec as well. Since I do all my own oil changes, I decided to buy the best oil available for my new Audi. Research showed that Pentosin 5W-40 was a quality product and was very popular in Europe. I bought a case and used it for several oil changes. Oil temps were excellent. Also, my engine did not use any oil between changes using this fine product.
Since it meets the factory spec and worked perfectly in my 2.0T engine, I recommend this oil to any concerned Audi / VW owner who wants the best for his or her engine.
