(More customer reviews)I bought two of these for my Subaru Forester and both of them burst about two weeks after I installed them. When I took the first one off, I noticed the metal was incredibly thin, almost the thinness of a soda can. If I hadn't stopped and seen the smoke coming out from under my car (oil on manifold), I might have ceased the engine.
Well, I figured maybe I'd nicked the filter when putting it on. So when I put the next one on, I was extra careful not to scratch or nick the can in any way. DIdn't matter. Same result.
Cheap-o filter ... no wonder nobody likes Fram filters.

Stant 10111 Oil Filler Cap Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this cap to replace the OEM cap on my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's one piece, molded high-impact plastic. It lacks the yellow markings of the original, but those just told me to see the owner's manual for oil recommendations, so I'm sure I can live without them. The stock cap also ratcheted to prevent over-tightening, while this cap does not. However, since I was replacing the old cap because it came apart at the ratchet mechanism when I tried to open it, I may be better off without the ratchet. It has a rubber gasket, and seems to seal well. Works for me.

You can actually feel the quality of this filter when you handle it. It is sturdy and hefty. The weight of the filter gives about the amount of filter material available. And one bonus that I love is the nut, which makes removes a snap.

(More customer reviews)I use Synthetic Oil (Mobil 1) because I feel it flows better in the weather extremes and protects better all the time.
I have used Delco Blue (PF), Delco Gold (UPF), Mobil 1 and K&N oil filters...I want it all ...quality product, better filtering but not at the expense of oil starvation...I need proper oil flow. I feel that the Mobil 1 and K&N Filters are similar (in weight) to each other while being heavier than the stock and upgraded AC Delco filters but the K&N has an advantage of the attached nut for easier removal and the price on Amazon made it the better choice for me.

Stant 10081 Oil Filler Cap Review

(More customer reviews)I'm not sure how I lost my old cap, but when my local auto parts store did not have a replacement for my 2000 Ford Ranger, I was pleased to find this replacement on Amazon. I can't say that I remember what the original cap looked like, but this one fits perfectly and was reasonably priced. Five stars for doing just what it should do - keep the oil in and the dirt out.
