The description tells most of it, it's a 3 foot X 1 foot dia tank and comes with a 6 foot hose, nozzle, ball valve & other fittings, and 4 nuts/bolts for mounting. It is intended for gravity feed, so the tank needs to be higher than what you'll be filling. I have this in my garage to store more than 5 gallons of gas (for a power outage or such as well as lawn mower, etc) where it's not on a vehicle or trailer that I can take to the gas station, so I must still lift other containers above it and hold them while they drain (or have a shelf above it & start a siphon). That's not the easiest up front, but dispensing later is a lot easier (just handling the hose & nozzle). Just remember to leave room in what you're filling to drain the hose when your done (and when filling my lawn mower, it only takes ~3 hoses full to show how short a time it takes).
The only issue I had with it was a concern over the pipe threads sealing well in the ball valve supplied. My understanding of pipe threads is that the threads have a taper so they "wedge" themselves into each other as they are screwed together to form a good seal. When I screwed a fitting into the ball valve by hand (without teflon tape on the threads), I found that the fitting "bottoms out" hitting the inside of the valve before the threads fully tighten up. That makes me believe that a leak path is more likely to remain around the threads since they're not getting fully "wedged" into each other (unless the flat face inside happens to make a good seal, but that's not supposed to be a sealing surface). Also if someone found a leak and decided to try tightening the fitting more to solve the problem (which is what's typically done), they could easily strip the threads since the fitting can't go further into the valve and the threads aren't as fully mated up as they should be. Since we're talking about a gas leak possibility with fire hazards as well as dumping what goes for over $3/gallon, I decided to spend five more dollars & get a different ball valve with deeper threads where that wasn't a concern to me any longer.
As a result of catching that ahead of time, I've not had any problems.
Update 9-2008. I've seen newer units in stores and they are now preassembling the ball valve and a couple of fittings on the tank, but you still must connect the hose & nozzle yourself. If they're checking what they've assembled for leaks, that may be nice, but they're still using the same ball valve with shallow threads which I still don't like for the reasons above.
