I spend a lot of time researching the best of fluids for my baby. I use Turbo Diesel Mobil 1 5W40 in the engine, Mobil 1 75W140 in the front and rear end and Mobil 1 ATF in the transfer case. Royal Purple 01600 Purple Ice Coolant - 12 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)I would not recommend running RP ICE with Aluminum engine or radiators with DISTILLED WATER.
This ONLY applies to DISTILLED WATER with out anti-freeze. RP ICE with distilled water is corrosive and will eat away at your aluminum engine parts.
I ran RP ICE with distilled water combo for max cooling for my track car. What happened was my heater core was corroded and started leaking from corrosion caused by this product.
Also what you will notice is if you get this product on aluminum parts, it will stain the metal white and cannot be wiped off. It also leaves a grey coating inside your radiator and piping.
I would recommend using Redline Water Wetter as an alternative. I get the same results with water wetter and it CAN be used with 100% distilled water with OUT anti freeze.
I am a BIG fan of RP products and PR ICE is the only product from them that i have had problems with.
If you run RP ICE with distilled and ANTI FREEZE, you will be ok. I would still recommend RL Water Wetter

(More customer reviews)i just came back for the form the mechanics of an oil change and i will tell you some thing i have used a lot of oil like castrol GTX to Quaker State even Royal Purple the so called "best oil there is" some mechanic say its good but i will tell you some my friend who is a mechanic and drag racer try it and had all of this sludge in his engine when he took it apart where im geting at is you went a good oil of you engine keeping run strong Lubro-Moly oil is the way to go.

Quaker State Higher Mileage Engine with Slick 50 10W30 Motor Oil -1 Quart Review

(More customer reviews)After I fill my car with this oil, I notice this higher milage Quaker State motor oil is not rated for any API service rating nor mantion ILSA GF rating. Why??? I can not find any info from there web side neither.
I do not feel different with other regular oil, I purchased this oil because of saw this is pnly oil had the SLICK 50 added.
But, I will like to know if this oil is comparable to API SM or ILSAC
GF-4? otherwise, I will stop use this oil again!!

The extra cost to put any type of Mobil synthetic is about 15-20 dollars an oil change but with synthetic you can run the oil much longer and still be properly protected! I have seen regular or organic oil wreak havoc on Audi's engines because they break down so fast. Do yourself a favor and always run synthetic oils in every car you have!

Mobil 1 M1-209 Extended Performance Oil Filter, Pack of 2 Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using these oil filters in my Neon SRT-4 for about 100k now and they work great. The last time I had the head off the engine (at 140k), everything was pretty much spotless inside with no oil residue buildup. Not sure that all has to do with the oil filter but i'm sure it contributes. I do wish that they had a sandpaper like surface to grip them like the Fram filters because the smooth finish makes them hard to remove, especially if you have any oil on them. I bought a strap wrench long ago that works great for these. I pare these with Mobil 1 5W-30 Fully Synthetic.

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent high performance motor oil for vintage engines due to a high zinc content. Modern engine oils no longer contain zinc due to zinc's degradation of catalytic converters. This isn't a problem for newer vehicles since modern engines use overhead cams or roller lifters with low friction. Vintage cars use flat tappet camshafts which will be damaged if motor oils without zinc are used. If you're running a flat tappet cam engine, you need to run an oil with high zinc or use a zinc additive such as ZDDP. This oil is "Not Street Legal" because it will damage your catatytic converter and render your vehicle non-compliant smog wise if used in a newer vehicle.

(More customer reviews)I just started using Royal Purple in my Mini Cooper S with John Cooper Works (basically, the supercharged, supercharged Mini). I actually noticed a difference in torque off the line and squeeled the tires HARD in 2nd gear. Although I don't have all the equipment to register the difference in fuel conservation, the guages inside my Mini started registering higher, expected mileage ranges. I previously would see that mileage range at about 480 miles on a full tank of gas (Hwy), but after Royal Purple, I saw the range jump up to 505 at one time.
Like I said, I'm not an automotive expert, but from what it seems to me, the Royal Purple has made a difference.

Sure, it's considerably more expensive per quart than regular oil. But you can run it many more months / hours than the ''old fashioned'' brands. And for those of us in colder climates, the difference in starting performance when it's really cold is amazing: Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil (all varieties) thickens a LOT less as the temperature drops. I can still start my vehicle even when it is well below zero degrees F. without plugging in the soft-plug heater; and even my big diesel tractor will start without heating well below freezing (for those of you from southern states: You have NO IDEA how cold 35-40 degrees BELOW zero F. feels; and how regular oil pretty much turns to a near-solid when it gets that cold).
