Blitz 11848 Dispos-Kit Review

Blitz 11848 Dispos-Kit
Average Reviews:

I change my own oil for my cars and motorcycles. It never fails, now matter how careful I am, a little oil always ends up on the garage floor.
This kit is really helpful. For a couple of bucks you get a pair of gloves, some heavy duty paper towels and a nice little absorbent pad (23" x 35") this is plastic lined on the bottom so that if you spill any oil on it, it won't leak through
I liked them so much that I just recently ordered four more

Lincoln Lubrication 3614 Pressurized Used Oil Evacuation Drain Review

not a bad product, but needs a tech's point of view. ratings are 1 to 10 with 1-bad (fix it!)and 10-(don't change it!# capacity-10, product description- 5 needs help #i.e.-16" bowl not 18", removable steel screen in bowl not listed), hook for drain tube storage-3 poorly placed, supplied screw length to hold bowl in-2 too long (if tightened all the way bowl won't swivel), screw collar at base of tube- 8 leaks under pressure while draining, dual pressurization options for draining-10, site glass-10, stability full-10, rollability full-9, general construction-9, bowl drainage-1 (welded in screen has too small of holes. only 3 holes were completely open for draining the bowl. screen should have been domed to increase area for drainage and to prevent complete blockage. had to incraese hole size to 1/4" to help drainage and still prevent objects from going into the tank. AS WELL-if the bowl is in the down position the bowl does not drain.), drain tube-7 (gets stiff in cold weather use, steel drain hook had a bur in it that would have cut the o-rings on the plug the first time(had to reem out, tube storage should be revamped (after putting the tube hook on the storage hook on the handle the stiff tube causes the tube hook to slide off the storage hook pulling against the plug chain, this can cause the plug to come out causing the drain tube to fall and leak all over the place.) drain bowl height-10, splash screen-5 works and that's about it. height adjustment-5 (should get better after it breaks in. right now the tube sticks and is hard to get up sometimes. the lock ring sometimes feels like it is tight, but the bowl drops all of a sudden (lock ring hard to turn if oily) i haven't had mine long enough to see all the problems, but some of them were "point blank" right out of the box.

John Dow Industries JDI-8DCP 8 Gallon Polypropylene Portable Oil Drain Review

John Dow Industries JDI-8DCP 8 Gallon Polypropylene Portable Oil Drain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Got the Oil Drain. Packaging was fine. You get the funnel, the base with casters already attached, a band clamp around the filler neck, 2 metal tubes and a small bag of hardware.
I was a little uncertain which way to orient the metal tubes. One is swagged to fit into another and the way the holes are in each tube I assumed I had to bolt them together using the supplied bolt, washer and nut. This will put the bolt directly in the path of the draining oil but I guess that is intended. Next the funnel fits in one end of the tube assembly with 2 small holes in the end (of the tube). Apparently you use 2 self threading screws through the tube and either against the funnel or into the sides of the funnel neck. There are no marks or dimples. The band clamp around the filler neck was down close to the container and I tightened the bejeebus out of it and barely put pressure on the tube assembly. After this I noticed the container neck was slotted and if I loosened the clamp and repositioned it near the top of the neck, tightening it would squeeze the slots together and hold the tube assembly at the desired height. I guess this is also the method for changing height.
The filler cap looks pretty cheap and the handle is a joke. It's a lump on top of the container without even a depression for the fingers.
All in all, this appears to be an OK first lift-height oil drain pan, but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up upgrading at a later date but most likely not another John Dow product.

The Plastics Group W-76 Drain Pan Review

The Plastics Group W-76 Drain Pan
Average Reviews:

What I like is the extra capacity this one has. Love that it has a place to put the drain plug. Dragging it out from underneath hundreds of times has caused wear on the bottom, and I'm afraid some day it will wear through. This shouldn't be an issue with a home mechanic.

Plews 75-751 General Purpose 3-1/2 Gallon Utility Drain Pan Review

Plews 75-751 General Purpose 3-1/2 Gallon Utility Drain Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Galvanized steel. It invokes a sense of nostalgia. A reminder of the days before everything was made of plastic. Back when fathers taught preteen sons how to wrench their own bikes, and to crawl under the family car to change the oil. Back when fathers knew how to do those things themselves. Back when we didn't know that Darth Vader was Luke's father.
So it dents and makes a lot of noise. But guess what? It does the job. It will catch the automotive fluid that you are draining. And lots of it too. 3.5 gallons is 14 quarts. Now all you've got to worry about is disposing of it all.

After I fill my car with this oil, I notice this higher milage Quaker State motor oil is not rated for any API service rating nor mantion ILSA GF rating. Why??? I can not find any info from there web side neither.
I do not feel different with other regular oil, I purchased this oil because of saw this is pnly oil had the SLICK 50 added.
But, I will like to know if this oil is comparable to API SM or ILSAC
GF-4? otherwise, I will stop use this oil again!!

Buffalo Tools AUOD5G Oil Drain Review

Buffalo Tools AUOD5G Oil Drain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Purchased this item through amazon and thought i was getting some thing of quality. I was mistaken, the product leaked from its first use. I contacted the merchant (antonline) and never received a reply, then contacted amazon. Amazon's position was to protect the merchant, which i was shocked. They (Amazon) said that it is written in the merchant"s disclosure that they're are no refunds or exchanges.
So if I purchase a product from Amazon and it does not work properly or as designed I would have to keep it or purchase another one in hope that the next one will work.
I'm in business as well and if I sell a product to one of my customers and it was defective and did nothing about it i would not be in business too long.
I am very disappointed with both companies and have decided to take my future business elseware.
To amazon, when you protect your merchant before your customer you lose all credibilty.
With no customers, why would you need merchants. Think about it.

Blitz 05080 Less Mess Oil Drain Review

Blitz 05080 Less Mess Oil Drain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This drain pan does hold some oil. While the "up to two oil changes" seems a little optimistic (maybe for cars that take less oil than mine), this pan is a good size for catching drips pretty well. It's of flimsy construction, though, so I'm not too sure of its durability. The big problem is that the "pour spouts" are terrible. They're just extremely shallow grooves in the corners and are basically impossible to use without pouring oil all over the place.

Can't complain about the pan. But the drain plug leaks! It left small drips on my driveway. I'll be pulling the old drain plug and putting it in the new pan.
