Blue Devil Engine and Cooling Sealant, 32 oz. (38386) Review

Blue Devil Engine and Cooling Sealant, 32 oz. (38386)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I saw the bottle I was skeptical. I didn't notice any fillings, pellets or sludge in the bottle so it seemed safe enough to assume it wouldn't clog my system. I called the tech line and they told me they had a 90% success rate and it was money back guaranteed if it didn't work. So I guess I didn't have anything to lose. It was $65 vs. $1,400! They explained to me to follow the directions exactly. But they did tell me a few things that I noticed were not on the bottle: Count 30 seconds to a minute when pouring the Blue Devil into the radiator before the 50 minute idle period and then put up to 2 hours of road time before I drained the product. Super quick and EASY process of 5 steps that was road ready in 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Before: Blowing a lot of water and a cloud of white smoke out of tailpipe and considered selling car cheap.
After: Stunned, running great!

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID PROTECTANT -- 10 OZ. Review

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID PROTECTANT -- 10 OZ.
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey. I was informed at 75,000 miles I would need a new torque converter. I was getting a lot of shuddering which is a problem with Honda Odysseys. I read on a blog that if you change the transmission fluid and use DR Tranny Instant Shudder Fix and/or Lubegard ATF Protectant, products from the same company, it would remove the shudder. The bill was going to be $1,850 so I thought a $6 bottle of Dr Tranny Instant Shudder fix was worth a try. So I had the Honda dealer replace the fluid and noticed on the drive home the shudder was greatly reduced but not eliminated. After about 10 minutes of driving I put the Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fix in and now the shudder is nearly gone. Once in a blue moon I get a slight shudder but it is so infrequent it is an after thought. About 2 weeks later I put in the Lubegard ATF Protectant, protectant made by the same company and I called the company and they told me the fluids could be mixed, because it provides long term wear protection and also shudder removal and the transmission is operating fantastic. No problems. It has been about a month now with no problems so I am very happy. I would highly recommend all car owners and Honda Odyssey owners give this fluid a try before getting a new torque converter.

First off i read Jin's review and gotta say...you have no clue how to use any tech whatsoever! check it out:
1- the can has instructions! read'em
2- the gauge has to be de-pressurized (hence the screwdriver or some item that create a release for the internal pin (looks like a tire pin, you deflate tires the same way. bam!
3-in short if you never have done it use gloves because tension and tight spaces causes stress that gloves prevent. A/C has to be running! (turn on (AC) not just the fan! make sure your AC light illuminates to tell you that the "chill" is going through the car the compressor pulls the freon out from the can as it runs. if not...all you do is cause gas to build in the umbilical hose.
4- to tweek the PSI you have to turn the nozzle and adjust on the fly (detailed instructions! i'm military and i know how to follow them, people who served know how to follow instructions as police and medics and the like. whats with people who can't follow WRITTEN instructions! you're killin me noobtastic 1 star rater! you made me laugh tonight.

Interdynamics 323 Recharge Retrofit Kit Review

Interdynamics 323 Recharge Retrofit Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this kit to retrofit/repair my '92 toyota's failing a/c system. It has been a few months now since I used it and the a/c works perfectly. The leaks are gone, the compressor works quitely and the system seems to work even colder than before. A local a/c shop quoted me $381 for recharging the system, it would have been higher for detecting and fixing any leaks.

Cliplight Manufacturing 946KIT Super Seal Pro A/C Leak Repair Kit Review

Cliplight Manufacturing 946KIT Super Seal Pro A/C Leak Repair Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 1994 Explorer had completely non-functional air conditioning. I replaced a rusted out line and blocked orifice tube, and the accumulator/drier. However, when I charged the system, it leaked down within 24 hours. I could hear a hissing, but was unable to find the leak. Three cans of ultraviolet dye later, I was still completely unable to figure out just where the leak was. Not knowing what part to replace, I had almost given up on fixing the A/C in my truck, and figured I'd give this Cliplight sealant a try - after spending so much on parts and cans of refrigerant, what did I have to lose? Even though my system was leaking down faster than what the Cliplight documentation said it could fix, I thought I'd give it a try anyway.
When it arrived, I was unimpressed. How could this tiny little can of sealant possibly fix my system? I evacuated recharged my system once more and followed the very precise and detailed instructions that came with the Cliplight kit.
An hour later, my leak was gone, and the system was holding pressure. It has been three weeks since I used the Cliplight sealant, and my truck's A/C has held its pressure perfectly, and the A/C is blowing ice cold. I never would have expected this product to work, but it does - amazingly well! I can't recommend it highly enough.
You need to have some clue as to what you are doing - this is not a typical "DIY" product. You should have proper manifold gauges and vacuum pump equipment. But if your car's A/C is leaking and failing within a few days of being recharged, this is the product for you.
June 2008 update: Over a year later, my A/C is still working perfectly! This product is amazing!

K-Seal ST5501 Multi Purpose One Step Permanent Coolant Leak Repair Review

K-Seal ST5501 Multi Purpose One Step Permanent Coolant Leak Repair
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have 2000 Subaru Outback 2.5l w. 130,000 miles. These engines have a known problem with poor head gasket sealing. It had an internal coolant leak into the #2 cylinder and a slow leak in the heater core. I was losing around a quart of coolant every week. After sitting cold overnight, I'd have a hard miss on #2 and a flashing check engine light (CEL) for several minutes until the spark plug dried out enough to start firing.
I'm not a big fan of "chemical" fixes for mechanical problems, but I thought that I'd give K-Seal a try. I poured it into the radiator, topped off the coolant and went for a 30 minute drive to get the engine hot. The next morning I had no missing or antifreeze smell from the heater. I reset the CEL and after almost a month, I've had no further problems with losing coolant. I'm impressed, this stuff works as advertised!

J-B Weld 8265-S Cold Weld Review

J-B Weld 8265-S Cold Weld
Average Reviews:

and this is great stuff. some pointers
Epoxy glues have a limited shelf life. Buy yours at a small store where the merchandise doesn't move quickly, or keep it 5 years on the shelf and it won't work well. Don't apply it at temperatures below 60 degrees. Spend at least 2 or 3 minutes mixing it. I use a timer to be sure. Surface preparation is the key. It must be completely grease free. I use naptha (lighter fluid) alcohol, and acetone in that order. The surface MUST be rough. I use a file, very rough (#40 or #60) sandpaper or a sharp Exacto blade to make multiple cross hatch cuts- this will even work on most steels. Apply the mix carefully, put the pieces together so they don't move for at least 8 hours.
Do all that and the bond is very strong.

Bar's Leaks 1000 Engine Repair - 16 fl. oz. Review

Bar's Leaks 1000 Engine Repair - 16 fl. oz.
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This product worked very well for me. The engine has more power especially in the lower gears and at cruising speeds the car seems to shift less and is smoother in the hills. It didn't quiet the slight ticking noise on start up that I have but I think I may have a weak oil pump. (will be taking the car in to have that checked) It took driving the car the full 100 miles to notice a difference - as noted on the package, it may be necessary to drive for 2 days or 100 miles for results. I would definitely recommend this product. I have also used their radiator / cooling system treatments in the past and they work very well too.

Mechanic said the rear seal needed replacing ($350 on a grand caravan) and i had already noticed that the leak was pretty bad. I followed the directions and then drove 500 miles (plus another couple hundred since) had have not seen a the oil level drop at all. I'm not sure if i'll need to use another bottle after the oil gets changed, but "No Leak" certainly saved me money in the short run.

White Shepherd Stop Leak & Conditioner Review

White Shepherd Stop Leak and Conditioner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this for a steering fluid leak I'd had for about a year, I would have to refill the fluid every week, and it was getting worse over time. I tried some other stop leak steering fluids but they didn't do anything. This White Shepherd stuff works differently for some reason. It is expensive for a small bottle of fluid, but it's the most affordable fix I could find.
The instructions say to drive around for a while after putting this in, and I think that really makes a difference. I drove for about 45 mins and still noticed a bit of a leak. I took my car out again later that day for maybe an hour or so and after that no leak.
I wouldn't hesitate to use this on any other leaks I may get in the future, steering fluid or otherwise.

Red Angel A/C Stop Leak Oil Injector Review

Red Angel A/C Stop Leak Oil Injector
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was actually looking for an oil injector when I saw the previous review for Red Angel A/C Stop Leak. I don't understand that other review on here about the company "not upholding the guarantee". Make sure you contact the manufacturer's phone number on the back of the bottle and ask about recommended places they sell the product (888.863.0426). I have called it before and they even walk you through the process and explained the money back guarantee. I know you can purchase it from NAPA, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly, Carquest, Pep Boys and Fisher. I have a bottle in my hand right now and it is brand new. BEWARE: The label looks different than the picture on Amazon from AutoBarn. I checked the Red Angel manufacturer's website ([...]) and their picture on their site looks like my bottle. I think that previous reviewer used a dated bottle which probably explains his experience. This product is amazing! I recommend it to all my friends!
