Lexol 1019 Leather Conditioner and Preservative Wipes, 25 counts, pack of 6 Review

I was hoping that these would be wonderful for quick clean ups on my light tan leather. They do wipe up the messes, but it leaves a residue that is very unpleasant to touch and smell. I think I'm going to go back to the Armour All brand.

Leather Dressing Review

Leather Dressing

Used to use this product on my Softail Classic years ago and realized it benefits and ease of use, and bought it recently to dress some new boots and soften them up. Best to put on lightly and use a hair dryer to liquify it letting it soak into the leather, softens, protects your smooth leather, seeps into all seams and stitches!

Leatherique Prestine Clean 32oz. Review

Leatherique Prestine Clean 32oz.

When I purchased my car, I thoroughly researched cleaners and conditioners to ensure against the cracking Armourall had caused in my previous vehicle. I purchased the Leatherique Conditioner and Pristine Clean after reading about them on the internet (see product description above), and use them according to the directions on autogeek.net.
I use an old sock to apply the oil, park the car in the sun for a day, and then remove dirt and excess oil with Pristine Clean. The oil is used first so that it can penetrate the leather and bring impurities to the surface.
I also tried it on the leather in a ten-year-old vehicle, and with only one use, it made a noticeable difference in appearance. I would imagine that with more applications, the leather would be restored.
As for my car, the Leatherique products have maintained the subtle quality and new-leather scent of my upholstery; I use it about three times a year. I was hesitant to purchase the products because of the price, but I have found they lived up to all the claims. Aside from the quality results I obtain, I also have peace of mind that they will not damage my vehicle.

Fiebing SNMO00P003Z Snowproof Mink Oil Review

Fiebing SNMO00P003Z Snowproof Mink Oil

This is great stuff. I'm passing along two good tips from my local shoe repair expert. First, it does darken some leather. For my hiking boots and many other items this is not a problem, in fact it improves the appearance of the leather. But if that's a concern to you be sure to test it on your item first. Second, instead of "wiping off the excess" as the package directions indicate, use a hair dryer to lightly warm the leather and the paste will sink right in. This creates a better waterproofing seal and the item is ready to be used again in minutes.
