I was trying to get the oil filter off of a 6.6 liter International Truck diesel (huge filter) and was worried that the strap was going to break due to the stretching. (More customer reviews)The first time I tried to use this, the filter was on really tight. This wrench crushed the filter while it was on the car instead of twisting it off. Then the band on the wrench bent, and one of the swivel-posts came out (which is a rivet, not a bolt, so I can't do anything about it). Yes, my filter was on tight, but if you want your wrench to break at the first sign of a hard job, don't get this.

(More customer reviews)It is the real deal. volvo stamping on housing and filter. fit the V70R 2006 perfect. If you need this part just get it. My plastic housing was starting to get worn and i didn't want to take a chance of it striping. Although it doesn't come with directions like buying the filter from volvo, remember to lube the rubber seal it comes with and use a new crush nut on oil plug.

Lisle 63600 Oil Filter Tool Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great oil filter wrench. It fits almost all passenger car filters and most smaller trucks. You have to have a 3/8" drive ratchet to use with it. You may need a ratchet extension as well, depending on your oil filter location.
The two pieces that grip the filter are connected with a spring. You pull them apart with your hands, put the wrench on the filter and the spring will pull the pieces into the filter. Hook up your ratchet and loosen, the wrench bites into the filter right away. Easy.
This wrench is for filter removal only. ALWAYS TIGHTEN NEW OIL FILTER BY HAND. NEVER TIGHTEN WITH A WRENCH.
