Royal Purple Max ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid, Quart Bottle, Pack of 12 Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I drive a 1996 Chevy S-10 truck with over 200,000 miles on it and a year or so ago made the switch to Royal Purple 5W-30 motor oil. I've been more than satisfied with the results and because of this I've been wanting to change my automatic transmission fluid over to Royal Purple for quite sometime.
Usually in auto parts stores, Royal Purple Max ATF runs about $13-$15/qt. However I found a case of it here on Amazon.com for an unbelieveable price, and even got free shipping with my order! I knew I needed a full case because I wanted to flush all of the old fluid out of my tranny and have soley Royal Purple inside. I found a lube change shop that would do this for me and even cut me a break on the cost of the procedure since I was supplying the fluid. I was told that usually they flush 14 quarts of fluid through a transmission to do the job, but would do it with the 12 quarts in the box. In their words, "it worked beautifully!"
So far, I've been more than pleased with the results. My transmission seems a bit more responsive now, much like my engine did when I switched to Royal Purple's motor oil. I also occasionally tow a utility trailer and I'm looking forward to the extra protection this synthetic lubricant will provide against heat buildup.
Next up, Royal Purple gear oil in my front and rear differentials!
