Race Tech Caddies Gold Valve Cartridge Fork Emulators Gold FEGV S3501 Review

(More customer reviews)I had these same 39mm gold valves installed in my FZR 600, by chance the same id as a harley fork, and my only complaint was I didnt install them the first time. I took them to a "competent" shop and paid a hefty tag for install and one valve was installed upside down, I was still blown away by the performance. When I started getting blow by on the other fork from the inverted installation I left a quickly scripted message on the machine at racetech service after hours, the tech called me and helped me on my first telescopic fork adventure and calmly explained that when leaving a message speak clearly and slowly. He spent 30 minutes deciphering my message and a few wrong numbers later, specifically located me back. On a harley I can only imagine the look on the riders face as he or she finally gets a decent suspension on his or her bike. These are a must for nightster and iron owners. Front forks wear out, but usually after the fork oil has deteriorated from humidity or heat, this is a great opportunity for a better than new repair. I know a lot of guys that fork over cash for cams, intake and exhaust and learn to tune the carb. Rebuilding the forks is really easy compared to the installation of cams on a sportster, and working slowly with the included instructions and maybe watching a video before the very first try. No special tools are necessary, only ones you would not expect to use. I used a mesuring cup to put the correct amount of oil in the forks and clean rod and measuring stick to check the level of the oil after that. It was fun, took about 4 hrs including a trip to home depot to get some pvc pipe to make my own fork seal installer. I don't want to own a telescopic fork bike without this modification.
