Got this for my on board air system on my truck and am using it to air my 7 gallon air tank up to 120 PSI. Does the job great. from 0-120 psi takes about 13 minutes but it rarely has to do this it's primarily used to go from 90-120 psi and that takes about 3 minutes which is pretty good for a compressor that size.

Master Flow MF-1050 Tsunami High Volume Portable Air Compressor Review

I did a LOT of research before purchasing this particular compressor, and despite the issues that some people have had, I still felt it was going to be the best way to go. Its a drag to buy something, then have to fix it out of the box, but after doing the modifications, this little thing is awesome and reliable.

When it arrived, I connected it for 30 seconds to make sure it worked, then got busy working on the issues I had read might be awaiting me ... and they were there, sure as heck.
Issue #1: There is a relay in back by the switch and they did a lousy job soldering it; install solderless connectors. Additionally, my relay was bad, so I replaced with better quality. (Open the back slowly and carefully). -$6 fix, 30 min repair-
Issue#2: The connector for the hose is an odd duck, so you may want to tap out the head and replace with one more usable. This is not as tough and frightening a job as you think. do some research. -$5 (connector and fitting), 30 min repair-
Issue #3: the gauge is crap, get rid of it. You can find one made for checking tires (slime brand) at an auto parts store and it screws right in. -$3.99, 1 minute repair-
Issue #4: The power cord. I use mine as on-board air and immediately hardwired using large-gauge wire, so it wasn't so much an issue for me. However, some have complained about various minor problems. Research and apply your own solution if needed.

After the mods, I agree with the majority that this to be probably the best portable 12v compressor out there. I use it a LOT in my rock crawler.
Google the name and model number; there are several long and detailed threads on 4x4 forums about this.

Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor Review

This is an excellent 12 Volt compressor for light to medium duty inflation jobs. It's small and packs neatly inside the included bag. I keep mine in the trunk for roadside emergencies or even just the occasional pressure adjustment. It also makes light work of inflating bicycle and lawn equipment tires.
I also own a Craftsman, Campbell Hausfeld, & a Superflow HV35 from Q Industries(see the review). I have tested all the units on time to inflate a 215-70R14 from zero to 32lbs. In terms of speed to inflate the Viair 70p and Superflow HV35 blow away the lesser units from Craftsman and C.H.
It takes 15+ minutes to inflate with either of the lesser models. The 70p can handle the task in around 4.5 minutes where the HV35 was closer to 4 minutes flat. In addition to the speed advantages both higher end units do their job in a much smoother and quieter manner.
The 70p's advantages over the HV35 are: Build quality, lower sound output and lower running temperatures. It also seems to draw less current making it less likely to blow your accessory port fuse.
With it's sturdy construction, smooth, quiet, & cool operation, I have little doubt that this compressor will be there when I need it. For the $40 price tag it is a hight value per dollar when compared to lesser makes.
