I made the mistake of buying one.
First of all it has very little suction.
You have to pump this over and over.
The hoses continually come off.
The worst part is that it leaks.
I tried siphoning gas from a gas can to my car.
There was gas all over place, especially on my hands.
I am going to take it back to where I bought.

(More customer reviews)I used this to pump gear oil and I did not like the hose it came with, it is to thin, it bends thus not allowing oil to flow properly, good thing is you can just replace the hose by buying a better one at the local hardware store.

(More customer reviews)Solidly built, quality product. The stem is thin though, so pumping out a full engine of oil can take 45 mins. Trick I've learned is to get the oil pretty hot. Good idea anyhow and this unit can handle hot oil. But if you have warm oil its thick and is like sucking a milkshake out a straw. I pumped my twin engine boat with it. Warm oil took 45 mins in one engine. Hot oil in the other took 10. Dumping is easy and clean. Only thing missign is a cap for the log tube when stored. Easy to make your own.
