Lisle 54400 Swivel Grip Oil Filter Wrench Review

(More customer reviews)I had high hopes this would work. The design looked good, it was the correct size for the filter on my engine, the quality of the wrench is good, and other reviews were good. However it simply slipped around the filter and didn't get a grip no matter what I did. The filter was clean and dry. I ended up using a pair of channel locks to remove the filter which proved the filter was not over tightened as it came off easily.
Perhaps it is just my fault it didn't work but I'm not a clutz. I'll likely toss it in the trash.

OEM 25078 Adjustable Oil Filter Wrench Review

(More customer reviews)I figured that this "adjustable" wrench would fit in any oil filter because it is adjustable. Well that was not the case. it didn't even get near my oil filter (about 1 inch of space all around). So if you have a small oil filter DO NOT BUY this product. I tried everything to get this thing to fit around my oil filter and nothing worked. Trust me its not worth the headache if you have a small oil filter.

World's Best Universal Oil Filter Wrench - 3 Jaws Review

(More customer reviews)The World's best oil filter wrench worked ok. I also have a Lisle Filter Wrench and like it better because it is spring loaded. The Lisle's grips the filter and does not tend to fall off the filter when applying the tool to the filter and also ratchets easier without falling off. The "World best" has a wider range than the Lisle whereas you would need two oil filter wrenches. The World's best works in two directions vs. the Lisle only will loosen the filter. My oil filter has a rounded end causing the "World best" wrench to only have little contact with the end of the jaws making it hard to apply and use. The World's best is made in Taiwan vs. the Lisle is made in The U.S.A.
